HISTORY™ is the leading destination for hit series and award-winning event specials which connects history with viewers in an informative, immersive and fascinating manner across multiple platforms. HISTORY™ offers viewers a diverse catalogue of genres; ranging from real-life characters who bring history to life every day, to natural history, contemporary history, technology and science, as well as archaeology and pop culture.
A+E Networks, who owns and operates HISTORY™, organised HISTORY™ CON, Asia's first-ever HISTORY™ convention in Manila at the World Trade Center on 25-28 August 2016. This event was jam-packed with activities and displays that brought the channel to life, immersing the 50,000 attendees in the HISTORY™ experience. HISTORY™ CON covered a very broad range of genres and interests with dedicated areas for paranormal/sci-fi, survival and adventure, motoring, history and culture.
Given the scale of the event and the diversity of genres, A+E NEwtorks engaged AIQ to implement AIQ's Visual Discovery platform with the following goals: Drive social media engagements on Facebook & Engage HISTORY™ CON attendees. Each booth had a screen playing TV trailers, and visitors could interact with these screens to unlock badges. Those who collected at least 6 of the 10 badges were qualified to enter a lucky draw with a chance to win 400 HISTORY™ prizes. The grand prize was a trip for 2 to Singapore.
HISTORY™ organised a treasure hunt for event visitors across 10 themed show-booths promoting HISTORY's upcoming programs.
Each booth had a screen playing TV trailers, and visitors could interact with these screens to unlock badges. Those who collected at least 6 of the 10 badges, entered into the draw to win 400 HISTORY™ prizes and the grand prize of a trip for 2 to Singapore.
